TRIP OVERVIEW

This 3 days’ safari will take you to Uganda’s largest park known as Murchison Falls National park situated in North Western Uganda and was gazette as a game reserve in 1926.

It is classified with savannah grasslands and the Victoria Nile that flows through separating it into two. Murchison Falls NP is a home of 450 bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco, Goliath Heron among others. 76 mammal species, a big number of Nile crocodiles and above all the magnificent and thunderous falls squeezing their way through a gorge. You will have the opportunity to enjoy our Ugandan Safari and the boat cruises along the Nile river.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: TRAVEL TO MRCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and he will also brief you about your 3 days’ safari to Murchison falls NP and you will start your journey to Murchison. You will go through Luweero and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking, at the sanctuary you will find both black and white rhinos.

After tracking, you will have another stopover in Masindi where you will have lunch and later on proceed to the park. After making payments for park entry, you will be driven toward the top pf the falls, along the way you will see plenty of animals such as warthogs, baboons among others.

Being at the top of the falls is an amazing experience as you will watch the magnificent falls squeezing through the rocks in an 8m gorge. Later, you will be driven to your lodge for relaxation and later on have dinner and an overnight.

DAY 2: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND A BOAT CRUISE ALONG THE NILE

On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast and later on your driver will pick you up from the lodge to start your game drive. During the drive, you will be able to sight very many animals such as lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants among others.

After the game drive you will be driven back to the lodge to relax and freshen up as you prepare to for lunch and later on have an afternoon boat cruise. On the boat, you will see many Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and elephants along the river banks. Also the different beautiful bird species singing in the trees such as the Bee eaters, Shoe billed stork among others. The boat will take you to the base/bottom of the Murchison Falls where you will clearly see the mighty waterfalls. After your driver guide will drive you back to the lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 3: DEPARTURE/RETURN TO KAMPALA

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and later on proceed for another game drive in the morning your way back to Kampala. It will be a great time as you look for various animal species though most of them will be seen in the grasslands feeding such as the elephants, giraffes, lions and not forgetting the various animal species.
